Claims Associates is excited to announce Ian Selzler has joined our Workers’ Compensation team in our Sioux Falls office. Ian worked with us on a temporary basis for a few months before deciding to make workers’ compensation adjusting a full time career.
Ian earned his Bachelor in Science degree at the University of Minnesota in Kinesiology (the study of body movement).
While in the Twin City area attending school, Ian also worked at a group home for the disabled for about 3 years, working with 4 individuals on cognitive skills and movement. After graduating he stayed in the Twin City area and worked at the Methodist Hospital assisting with Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and wound care. This job afforded him the opportunity to also work with scheduling, equipment care, and one-on-one contact with the clients, greeting and making them comfortable.
Ian then decided it was time to return “home”, back to Sioux Falls where he was born and raised, along with his parents and one brother. In Sioux Falls he tried a few different temporary jobs, including recruiting, property management and maintenance, before joining Claims Associates.
Some of Ian’s hobbies include hiking, backpacking, wakeboarding, attending concerts, and reading.
