Chris Madsen, J.D., Claims Associates’ General Counsel and Director of Operations, is currently serving on the Board of Directors of The Banquet, a Sioux Falls local non-profit, for a 2 year term. The Banquet provides a place where people can gather, receive nourishment and experience love in action. Their tag line “Nourishing the Community for over 35 years”.
In 2019 The Banquet served 196,000 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and at least 25,000 of those meals were served to children under 12. Though Covid has affected their distribution process and how meals are served, they have found ways to overcome and are still actively looking for volunteers to assist them in their mission. Chris has also served as a previous member of the Board of Directors for the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as serving on the Chamber’s Issues Management Committee for a number of years, including time as Chair.
In addition to the above, Chris has served two terms in the South Dakota House of Representatives.
