Claims Associates is excited to let you know we have a new multi-line adjuster, working from our Rapid City office. Her name is Shasta Burris and she just started with us in late summer. She’s been busy getting to know us, as we get to know her, and working hard at tackling the training that will enable her to provide our customers that excellent service we promise and are known for.
Shasta was born and raised in West Virginia, where she also went to school. After high school she attended and graduated from Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, WV. Shasta was the wife of a military officer, and they had 4 children. As is typical with military, they had several moves and Shasta was quite proficient in raising her family, keeping them together, organizing their moves, settling into new locales, and all the other duties that come along with being a military wife.
She now has settled in the Rapid City area, and has remarried, and while two of the “adult” children are busy finding their own career paths, she still has two children at home. They are both active in sports, and Shasta spends much of her free time, attending soccer, football and track meets. The family loves most anything outdoors, including camping and hiking, so Rapid City will be a great fit. She also loves to continue studying and learning.
Shasta’s career includes time with an insurance agency, as well as in claims with an insurance company.
What’s an interesting fact about Shasta? She set a record in high school for “twist outs of builds” in cheerleading! If you’re not familiar with that, maybe you’ll have to ask her when you have a chance to talk with her!
