Another new adjuster hired recently by Claims Associates is Joe Jares. Joe looks forward to working with clients, and we wanted to take this opportunity for you to get to know Joe a bit.
Joe is a South Dakota native, having graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, and then graduating from University of SD with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
While in college, Joe interned as a Risk Specialist for the City of Sioux Falls. This provided an opportunity for him to begin to see the risk side of commercial insurance.
After graduating from USD, Joe became a Financial Services Professional with New York Life for approximately 5 years, earning his license in Life & Health Insurance, as well as Securities.
Due in part to his interest for a wider range of challenges, as well as having practically grown up in the adjusting business, Joe has now joined Claims Associates as a multi-line adjuster, and has already obtained his license in Minnesota and Wyoming (South Dakota does not issue adjusting licenses). Joe has also attended a 3 week Vale Training Solutions course in Property Adjusting, which covered:
- Property Insurance coverage
- Property Claims Adjusting
- Scoping and estimating residential dwelling damage
- Understand and apply policy language
- Investigating Claims
- Electronic estimating systems
He also has attended a Rainbow Restoration Seminar, the South Dakota Claims Association Annual Conference, Fischer Rounds Annual Appreciation Days, and a Paul Davis seminar to earn his IICRC Water Damage Restoration Certification.
Joe just recently was married, congratulations Joe and Amber! They have a home in Sioux Falls. He and Amber are members of Ransom Church in Sioux Falls.
Joe likes to hunt, fish, golf, hike and spend time with family and friends.
